Success Stories

From the smallest rural library to the largest ARL, NetLibrary has something for everyone. Premier content, several formats, multiple access and order methods, and usage statistics at your fingertips — all adding up to demonstrated value for your investment.

Success stories abound for libraries who've delivered full-text, full-image eContent to their users. Here are a few we have heard first-hand:

  • Academic libraries: University of Texas System [47.56 KB, PDF]
Netlibrary serves nine universities and six medical institutions in the UT system. The ability to make title-by-title selections through TitleDirect best served this academic consortium's needs.
  • Academic Research (ARL) library: University of Oklahoma Libraries [50.71 kb, pdf]
eBooks are a natural part of OU's electronic resource collection, especially as they support remote students around the state and around the world in military programs. Local press eBooks are often held in special collections and get a lot more traffic in electronic form than the physical printed versions.
  • eAudiobooks: Fairfax County Public Library [43.6 KB, PDF]
eAudiobooks provide more choices and no waiting list for tech-savvy community.
  • Consortia: Access Pennsylvania [45.68 KB, PDF]
Patron-driven acquisition (PDA) model lets users decide which netlibrary eBook titles are purchased for the shared collection of 3,000 libraries.
  • Multi-type library group: Marion County Internet Library [44.24 kb, pdf]
Indianapolis-area libraries let users help decide which eBook titles to acquire. Through the patron-driven acquisition (PDA) model program, they can provide exposure to a large collection without spending money they don't have.
  • Special Library: AstraZeneca [38.4 KB, PDF]
eBooks help pharmaceutical giant develop employee skills and new cures.
  • Corporate Libraries: Sun Microsystems [41.9 KB, PDF]
Sun Microsystems, NetLibrary's first corporate customer, continues to expand its eContent services to serve a global workforce of 30,000.
