TitleDirect Acquisition Profiling Tool
TitleDirect is a sophisticated eContent acquisition tool that offers advance profiling capability and features automated notification tools that will allow you to manage your eContent selection and review process more efficiently.
Getting Started
The first time you visit TitleDirect, you will need to create a pool of Selectors, Reviewers and/or Read-Only users. TitleDirect offers four distinct access levels:
- Administrators. Create profiles and manage user access.
- Selectors. Receive notification and recommend titles.
- Reviewers. Review lists, specify quantities, and purchase titles.
- Read Only. Can review comments, but have no purchasing or selection authority.
Once you have added users, you can create a collection development profile for your library. Your profile will establish unique search and distribution attributes, allowing you to create title lists that match specific collection development goals. You can set up as many different profiles as needed to serve your library's eContent selection needs. For example, you could decide you want to see all new eContent added to the NetLibrary collection, or you could limit the criteria by subject, LC or Dewey Classification range, publication date, or publisher.
Reviewing Lists
Once you have established a profile and selected users, TitleDirect will automatically generate lists of content and notify users via email that the lists are ready for review. Automatic notification of new titles will be sent to the designated e-mail recipients monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly, whichever you prefer. After receiving notification, Selectors and Reviewers can login to make recommendations or review comments. Once the review process has been completed within your library, reviewers will aggregate all recommendations finalize the list of preferred titles, and submit the order to NetLibrary.
